Keto Pot Roast | Keto Recipes | Headbanger’s Kitchen

Spread the love

Pot roast is a comfort food, it’s a great holiday meal as well. There is absolutely no reason it cannot be made into a Keto friendly dish. This pot roast skips the flour and uses the vegetables to really thicken up that sauce. A perfect Keto pot roast.

  1. I make my pot roast the same but never thought about blending the veggies like that to thicken the gravy! That is brilliant!!! Video was well worth watching for that idea alone but LOVE that your dad was your taste tester again. He is so funny. Horns UP!!

  2. That look like lean meat. How tender does it come out?

We DON’T buy any lean meat, since we’ve been on Keto.

I’m sure we can use our regular fatty cuts?

I thought onions aren’t really Keto? Isn’t there sugar? We’ll do without onions. I’m sure flavor won’t change much.

  3. I wish I could attach pics in the comment section. I made this dish today and turned out super awesome. A little twist is that I made it not in the oven, but a slow cooker (Crock-Pot). The flavors came out amazing. I ended up with silky smooth gravy. I paired it with creamed spinach. I would really appreciate if you can put up some crock pot recipes also.

  4. Sahil…just a thought if you’re able to get them.. Turnips are a great substitute for potatoes and or carrots lower in carbs..

also, I add about 10 garlic cloves and a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of bourbon or you can add a tablespoon of aged Balsamic vinegar for added sweetness and richness..still keto btw.

  5. This looks amazing, can’t wait to try it. I’ve ordered your book, but it is arriving in January because it’s sold out in the UK.

  6. Probably this is a wrong place to ask for a dessert recipe… but Sahil, I don’t have a choice…I miss my French Macarons… anyway u have done the keto version of it????

  7. Zucchini porosity, I love it! Plus I understood perfectly πŸ™‚ I love how you made the sauce, I believe I’m going to do that for my turkey gravy this Thanksgiving so I can eat it too, thank you & can’t wait to make this recipe!

  8. Beautiful. Turning the vegetables juices into a thick sauce in brilliant, I’m definitely going to incorporate it into my cooking.

  18. Get an immersion blender,,,,easier than straining all those veggies out…..it does it in the pot w/ all the liquids.

  19. I am still waiting for my copy of your book, although I preordered it. Amazon emailed me today to say it’s only due 21st December now. 😩

  20. Chuck or rump or blade and especially short rib will have a much beefier flavour than tenderloin. Flavour profile will be superior. You need a stringier meat with more fat and collagen I understand Sahil may not have access to those cuts. Slow braise is the secret. I don’t agree with the comment there are some cuts that you can’t get tender. At least in North America. Good job again Sahil.

  21. Wow Sahil, you’ve brought back memories of Sunday supper as a kid but made it keto friendly! I LOVE all your little tips n tricks like using the sieve, the garne bouquet (spelling ?), using the stalks n leaves rather than buying parsley- very grateful for all that added info. 1st meatloaf, now pot roast, curious to see what comfort food is next! πŸ„πŸ₯˜πŸŒž
