  1. I made this and its awesome. I used cashew milk instead of almond milk. I dont find ot makes 2 cups but a little over 1 after it cooks down. I also made two batches 1 with swerve confectioners and 1 with Lakanto Monkfruit sweetner and found I like the.monkfruit better its less sweet. Best part of this recipe is the texture! I will make this savory as a sub for grits!!! I also have a steel cut oats recipe that uses garlic and green onions a broth. Oooh the possibilities!!! Thank you Jeff!!!

  2. Thank you so much Joe! You made keto doable for me. I just bought your savory cookbook! So impressed with the design and recipies! Oh my gosh! Its wonderful! I have a special request for you. I love French onion soup this time of year. Can you make me a keto recipe for it? Pretty please?!!!

  3. Very nice! I do a similar version with coconut flakes instead of coconut flour. Cinnamon and Swerve brown is delicious. I was trying to recreate the Highkey instant hot cereal because it’s pretty pricey.

  4. Far too many raspberries though in the “showroom bowl”. You’re only allowed a 1/4 a cup a day of raspberries. I’ll have to try this, looks great!

  5. I mush down my keto chocolate muffins made with almond flour right out of the oven, and pour coconut milk and add a teaspoon of coconut oil and put into into the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes and it tastes just like Malta Meal. This sounds great too!

  6. this makes the perfect keto grits by leaving out the cinnamon and sugar substitute and replacing with salt&pepper

  7. I followed your instructions and absolutely loved it.
However when I logged the ingredients on Myfitness pal app it says
    Kcal 448
    Carbs 18 g
    Fat 33 g
    Protein 19.9 gr
So quite high in everything , I am confused 🤷‍♀️

  8. I was so excited to try this as I really miss oatmeal but this recipe is really disgusting to me 🙁 no offense to you as I can see how someone could like it! But just doesn’t float my boat. Has the right texture for sure!

  9. Love your channel but wish you wouldn’t keep saying ‘oats’ when there are no oats. Why not call it a porridge or something it actually is?

  10. I tried this recipe today after my hemp hearts arrived. So good and the smell of cinnamon as it was heating made my heart happy. The consistency and flavor are on point. I’ll be making batches of this dry mix to make the process even quicker for the upcoming months. Thanks, Joe!

  11. Wow. Wonder if this basic mix could be fashioned into oatmeal cookies~ with Lily semi-sweet chocolate chips. Or easier, oatmeal bars.

  12. Just made this. I only had hemp flour, so my dish turned out a green goop…. but it’s actually delicious. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised.
Thank you for this recipe. It’s gone into my ‘recipes-to-keep’ file 😉😉

  13. Thank you so much for this recipe!!! I added 🧈 butter(after putting in my bowl 🍲) and oh my😋❤️❤️❤️❤️‼️

  14. Super recipe! I’ve made this three times and it is my goto keto breakfast item. I don’t use the golden flax–I use regular brown flax from Costco. I didn’t pregrind it either. I only use a tablespoon of Swerve. I add 1 T of butter and a 1/4 cup of walnut pieces. I cook mine in the microwave for about 2 minutes. You are a recipe genius. This tastes comforting and has some fiber with low carbs. It’s a top ten keeper for me. It’s infinitely more healthy than oatmeal. THANKS Joe!

  15. Hot cereal in the winter is exactly what I’ve been missing. Will certainly try this recipe with 1 addition. I have a barely used bottle of maple extract in my pantry that just found a new use😉

  16. I can never find your recipes. Do I have to write it down? I get that you have cookbooks for sale but other Keto Youtubers provide printable recipes. Last week I wanted to try another of your recipes and spent an hour trying to find the recipe. I even messaged you and nothing. Ok, I’ll grab my paper and pen while I pause the video to reinvent the wheel. Lol

  17. Wow, this is the best cooked cereal; there is no way you would know this is keto unless someone told you. Great recipe, Joe; thanks for sharing. I am definitely a fan!! Nancy W

  18. can you mix up a big batch of the dry ingredients and store it in a canister for any length of time? Just wondering if I can shortcut and not have to drag out all the ingredients every day?

  19. Hi Joe,
This was delicious just made it this morning with brown sugar from Lakanto. Has any one tried doing this in a microwave oven ? Asking this question as it would nice to bring to work.

  20. I wonder if this recipe could be tweaked in a way so that if we bake it, they can become “oatmeal” cookies.

  21. Duff, man (Simpsons) thanks so much I just wish when you do your uploads that you can have the macros on the side of the video. BIG THANK YOU. I was running out of ideas and oatmeal is my FAVORITE breakfast.

  22. Can I use hemp seeds instead of hemp hearts in this recipe? I have the seeds already so I didn’t want to go out and buy the hemp hearts.

Ok eta: I ended up making a different oatmeal recipe last night using hemp seeds and flax seeds since I didn’t have the hearts or flax meal… it wasn’t terrible, it didn’t have the consistency of oatmeal.. kinda slimy.. but, let me tell you what.. I went out today and bought hemp hearts and flaxseed meal (not golden because I couldn’t find it) and made your recipe tonight. It was sooo amazing! I didnt blend the meal because I’m lazy and I was hungry… lol so the consistency was exaxtly that of oatmeal but I definitely wasn’t mad at it. It kinda reminded me of cream of wheat, which I LOVE, so this was definitely a win. My 13 yr old daughter (who isn’t keto) loved it too and said I need to make more. This will definitely be my go to recipe. Thanks for creating it!

  23. Hello!
im from belgium and some products you use are (so far) nowhere to find in my country, example the golden flexseed meal* what exacly is it from?

  24. Thank you so very much Joe, I just made your Keto Oatmeal recipe.
I absolutely have a new favorite.
I have tried your other recipes and I love each and every single of of it.
God bless you and your family.

  25. I don’t do Keto, but I am diabetic. I use these recipes to keep my blood sugar in check. I can’t wait to try this one Joe!

  26. Hello thank you for being so amazing.
Your recipes are awesome as well.
I am from Australia and was wondering when you give out the measurements, are you catering for other countries when you say the weight in grams?
For example: 3 tablespoons or ’30 grams’ ?
I have been trying to make American based recipes and have found that time after time , my meals didn’t look quite as successful as American chef’s recipes.
I have stumbled on a conversion chart which helps a little.
I have learnt that Australia’s 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons equates to ONE America cup.

Could you please let me know?

  27. Has anyone done a insulin test on this? If you have a Keto Mojo and test blood before, then, 1 hr, then 2 hours after eating this?

  28. Thanks joe
I’m gonna go buy the ingredients I’m missing in the morning and make this …. oatmeal or porridge as we call here in Australia is the one thing I miss 😉

  29. And I just hit subscribe 😁 Can’t wait to try this. Never thought about adding almond flour! Going to get all the ingredients tomorrow. For sure.

  30. What if we took a shot each time he says keto? I’m sure this is deliberate because I have seen so many folks comment about this before.

Has anyone actually tried it yet. I might cry if it really tastes like oatmeal.

  31. I just made your oatmeal recipe today and………..Totally Amazing and Delicious. Thank you so much 😊

  32. I made this recipe exactly this morning and I only got a total of one cup with all the ingredients, 237 grams. This is two servings????

  33. I’m definitely gonna try this. I may try to swap the coconut flour for oat fiber. I think that would really add that oat flavor.

  34. Hello!! I absolutely love your channel / your recipes!! I see you have a cookbook? Is it only for sweets or does it have meal recipes too? You have the best recipes on YouTube for keto and super easy. I made the keto fathead pizza last night dinner and it came out delicious. Thank you!! ❤️ #yourfan 😉

  35. Thanks for this recipe.I heated up 30grams of your previous granola recipe in a little almond milk and then added to this oatmeal recipe when it was hot and cooked both together and it was perfect. Not too crunchy and not too smooth.Thank you for both recipes Joe.Love from the UK

  36. OMG!!!!! Thank you JOE. I got the ingredients and tried this today. I changed the swerve confectioners to swerve brown And it’s just like having regular brown sugar oat meal.

  37. That’s awesome but i bought a package from Amazon that has chia, flaxseed and hemp hearts together. Will that work?

  38. Thanks for making this video! I’ve been obsessed with oatmeal lately, but felt guilty with how many carbs are in it. I’m getting back into my keto/low carb diet and this sounds like it would be the perfect replacement 😋!

  39. I want to try this. I wish I could now but I won’t be back to my kitchen until Sunday. It looks very good. I have missed oatmeal.

  40. Think it would keep in a thermos or would it thicken into a brick like oatmeal? I don’t eat breakfast but this would be great at lunchtime when I’m outside with my students during recess on cold days.

  41. Why are the macros so different than from your book? I’ve been thinking about buying your book for some time. This pushed me…but then I found out I bought the wrong book. You have two!! Lol. So then I had to buy the other too. But still am curious as to why the macros are so different, are they the same recipe?

  42. “That said”, Joe, you are the best! I thought that I would have to give up oatmeal forever. Buy his cookbook people! He makes everything easy for a non cook like me.

  43. Looks delicious! Almonds really bother my tummy (high FODMAP). Do you think replacing almond flour with a little more coconut flour would work?

  44. First of all congrats on the baby! for all those keto recipes. Glad you still have time! You are amazing! so much daddy!

  45. Could you make this savory by omitting the sweetener and cinnamon and add cheese instead to resemble something like grits?

  46. I scared to use hemp hearts. I get drug tested for work and I am afraid will give me a false positive. I do make an oatmeal using frozen cauliflower rice.

  47. If I like the recipe, I would probably mix the dry ingredients and portion it out into small ziplock bags, ready to go on the days I want keto oats

  48. Thankyou I really miss oatmeal I live in the uk and in the winter months it’s a nice morning pick me up.

  49. joe you read my mind lol, i was searching a good low carb porridge yesterday! thanks i was on your channel yesterday looking for this. i love it 🤗

  50. This looks amazing and is just in time for the cooler fall weather! Do you think it would work with golden swerve? I love the flavor of brown sugar in oatmeal, thanks!
