EASY KETO SCONES || LCHF

Spread the love

Drop in the butter and use your hands to integrate the butter into the flour up until you have a course, sandy texture.

Location the dough in between 2 sheets of parchment paper and roll it up until it is fairly thick – about 1-1.5 inches thick.

Bake at 425 Β° F/220 Β° C for 10 minutes – if the tops start to brown quickly, put a sheet of tin foil over leading so they will not burn.

Its tea time and youre wondering what bits to serve your visitors – well now there are these delicious keto scones! They are SO easy to make and take only 10 minutes to bake in the oven.

Eliminate 8 circles utilizing a cookie cutter or small bowl (approx 3inches in diametre).

Put the egg/cream mix into the flour and utilize a spatula to stir together.

Individually, beat 1 egg together with the heavy cream.

In a blending bowl, blend together the dry ingredients.

When you are kneading the dough – you desire to make sure that you are only kneading till all the flour has been blended in. If you handle it excessive, the butter in the dough will start to melt and itll get all greasy. The consistency of the dough must be light – like pressing into a pillow!

I think if you want to eliminate they whey (although I do suggest making it with the protein whether its whey, pea or egg), you might most likely change it with an additional 1/4 cup (25g) of almond flour..

What you will require:.

When I initially made these, I initially tried to make it comparable to my bread rolls, and while they tasted AMAZING, the kind wasnt there. They didnt look like extremely good scones, thats for sure.

Location the circles of dough onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment.
Brush the top of the dough with a beaten egg.

Active ingredients.
1 cup (100g) almond flour.
1 scoop (30g) whey isolate – unflavoured.
3/4 tsp xanthan gum.
1.5 tsp baking powder.
3 tablespoon sugar alternative.
1 tbsp butter – room temperatute.
1 medium egg (plus 1 for brushing).
1 tablespoon heavy cream.
salt – to taste.

Start to use your hands to knead the dough until all the flour is incorporated once it gets a bit harder to blend. It ought to have a light pillowy consistency.

These worked completely – they increased a bit (not as high as I d like, but they are a great size for afternoon tea) and taste amazing. Leading with some clotted cream and no extra sugar jam!

Take out after 10 minutes and cool!

  1. Oh wow, these are awesome! Good job I only got 3 (big) ones and a baby one from the dough. I had one warm from the oven with butter. I had to increase the baking time, and they did sink slightly in the middle. Maybe needed a couple of minutes more, probably because they were bigger? I also reserved a tiny bit of the beaten egg to glaze so I didn’t have to use another. Thank you so much. x

  2. What brand of whey isolate do you use?? Is it same as using multipurp unflavored protein powder?? Thank you for your wonderful videos!

  3. Hey Girl! Have you done a clotted cream vid? I found this vid after thinking that clotted cream must be perfect for Keto. Plus the whey separates away, so even better. It’s the whey that can be a weight loss stall. And with a little LC jam – Yum πŸ™‚

  7. I’m going to have to try these in a Dash mini-griddle (not the waffle-maker). I’m wondering if the steam that you get from using the dash would make these fluff up even more. I’ll let you know once I try it out. Thanks for the inspiration! Your videos are great! πŸ‘πŸ˜‹
